The NBA has addressed the incident which saw Michael Malone and Nikola Jokic getting ejected.

It was only a matter of time before the league addressed the incident between Rodney Mott and Nuggets head coach, Michael Malone. Malone was ejected for rightfully getting into Rodney Mott’s face when let Jokic get fouled multiple times on put backs in which he refused to blow the whistle.

More from Nugg Love

Coach Malone did end up making contact with Mott which warranted the immediate ejection, but what made no sense was him ejecting Nikola Jokic for simply arguing the call. The NBA actually rescinded the ejection, but we will delve on that later in a different article.

Head coach Michael Malone received word on November 20 from the NBA that he will be suspended a total of one game. He will serve the suspension in the upcoming game against his former team, the Sacramento Kings.

It was actually great to see Coach Malone stand up for his star player and show the rest of the league he is not about to let any referees or teams take advantage of his players simply because they have been in a rebuilding process the last couple of seasons.

Head coach Michael Malone has had his fair share of short comings in his tenure as a Nuggets coach, but we must give credit where credit is due. Malone did the right thing by getting in Randy Mott’s face and pointing out his incompetence.

Oh, by the way, let’s try to get #firerandymott trending Nuggets Nation. Let’s try to get some justice for the Joker and Coach Malone. Coach Malone will serve his suspension and I am sure he still stands by his decision to stand up for his star center.

I think we can all agree Rodney Mott deserves to lose his job after what happened.
