After an impressive road stint, the Nuggets will look to carry their momentum back home as they take on the Jazz.

The Denver Nuggets shocked many people by winning back to back games on the road against the Portland Trail Blazers and Golden State Warriors.

More from Nugg Love

Now, after a short stint to recover on Christmas, they will return to the Pepsi Center to battle the Jazz. The Jazz have had Denver’s numbers all year as they have taken the first two match ups. But, both of those games were in Utah.

The Nuggets seem to be clicking at the right time and it will be hard for the Jazz to duplicate their past performances against this high flying Denver squad. The Nuggets will have Nikola Jokic for this game as he finally looks to be 100% after his ankle injury if the last two games of his are any indication.

For Denver, they will actually have to deal with Rudy Gobert this time around. Last time, they got the benefit of battling this team without their defensive superstar and still lost big time. As a result, Jokic is going to have his hands full for this game.

Nikola has had a tendency in the past to struggle against physical bigs who are very defensive minded. We will see if he can adapt against Rudy this time out.

Not to mention, the perimeter players for the Nuggets have been playing out of their minds. Jamal Murray is finally getting comfortable at the point, Gary Harris has been efficient as usual and Wilson Chandler is finally getting things going after being hurt all year long if the reports are true.

Next: Denver has found their missing link

It will be a great divisional rivalry game as both teams have a lot to play for as the year progresses. It will not surprise me either way if the Jazz or the Nuggets take this game.
