The Denver Nuggets will return home to battle the young Philadelphia 76ers.

The Denver Nuggets will return to the Pepsi Center after a heartbreaking overtime loss a couple nights ago to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

However, they cannot overlook this young 76er team. They are no longer the young team rebuilding who are trying to tank on purpose. With weapons such as Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons and Robert Covington, Denver will have their hands full keeping up with these young, spry players.

Denver has their own fair share of weapons though as well. Everyone knows about Nikola Jokic, but few outside the Nuggets fan base know of the young back court in Jamal Murray and Gary Harris.

Harris will be looking to have a bounce back game after Jimmy Butler lit him up for 39 points in the last game, so do not be surprised if Harris has a statement game on both ends of the floor against J.J. Reddick. Nikola Jokic will have to utilize his jump shot in order to stretch the defense and pull Joel Embiid away from the rim considering Embiid has became an elite rim protector.

As a result, this will allow players like Harris to make solid cuts to the basket for high percentage looks. Not to mention, Denver will have to get back to playing the terrific defense they were playing during their recent three game win streak before it was snapped by the Timberwolves.

The 76ers will look to be making a statement and they are already an improved team this season. Do not forget, Philadelphia actually won at the Pepsi Center last year when these two teams faced off in December.

The worst mistake this Nuggets team can make is overlooking these young 76ers.

Next: It is time to unleash the Manimal

Ben Simmons is in the running for Rookie of the Year, so Denver must be ready to contain him and his other weapons.
