The Denver Nuggets are in for a must win game against the Memphis Grizzlies after losing playoff positioning.

The Denver Nuggets have put themselves in an extremely tough situation. After losing to the Los Angeles Clippers at the Pepsi Center, the Nuggets have now fallen all the way down the ninth seed after being in the thick of things at the beginning of the last week.

This goes to show how tight the Western Conference is and every game matters from here on out if a team if vying for a playoff spot from seeds four to eight. The Nuggets have to defeat the Memphis Grizzlies if they want to get back into the hunt.

Losing to a rebuilding Grizzlies squad would be a terrible look for this Nuggets squad who came into the season with post season aspirations. By the looks of things, the Pelicans, Blazers and Thunder will not be slowing down any time soon, so Denver has to get some type of win streak going.

As a matter of fact, if they lose to the Grizzlies, then there is a good chance their season will actually be done. They cannot afford to lose any more games where they are the favorite to win the match up, which they have done many times already this year against the likes of the Hawks, Suns, Lakers and Knicks. It is time for Denver to look at themselves in the mirror and decided who they really are this year.

Are they a team ready to finally make the leap to the playoffs? Or are they a team who is still needing one more piece who is fooling their fans about how good they really are with their talent?
