Gary Harris has proven time and time again this year to come up big in clutch situations.

Gary Harris is one of the main points of the Denver Nuggets’ Core consisting of him, Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray. Harris hit an extremely big time game winning three point shot over the Oklahoma City Thunder earlier in the season.

Gary Harris has also found ways to ice close games as well including the recent win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Harris has started developing a key clutch gene this season. For a while now, many fans have wondered which player of the Core would be the one to take the clutch shots and seal the deal in close games.

Some argued for Nikola Jokic, some argued for Jamal Murray and others argued for Gary Harris. This season, Harris has taken on this role and more times than not, he has delivered satisfactory results. He still has plenty of room to grow and he has already proven to get better time and time again in his career. However, this season has really been something special for the two way shooting guard.

Do not forget, earlier in the season, he had an impressive 30 plus point game against the Phoenix Suns where he shot an impressive field goal percentage. This goes to show he has the skill set to be a long term scorer and can continue to deliver in clutch opportunities down the road. He is often the underappreciated player of Denver’s core considering Jokic and Murray get a ton of credit, and rightfully so.

However, it is time for Gary to stop being overlooked and other teams have to start respecting his ability to close games when they are close.
