The 1985 Nuggets also averaged an effective field goal percentage of 49.1% to go along with a turnover percentage of 13.2% which ranked third in the league. This team also averaged a defensive rebounding percentage of 66.1% which was middle of the pack since this total was ranked 17th in the NBA.
The team was led by a star point guard and small forward duo of Fat Lever and Alex English as well. English averaged 27.8 points per game in the 1985 season and Lever averaged 14.8 points per game to go along with 2.2 steals per game per 36 minutes.
Denver lost to a high powered Lakers squad which over-matched them in the conference Finals considering Alex English was hurt during this time. This left one star in Fat Lever to three stars in Magic, Kareem and Worthy.
At the end of the day, the Denver Nuggets of 1985 were a great sight to behold and one of the best teams the Denver Nuggets ever had in franchise history.
