The Denver Nuggets are coming off a quality win against Atlanta on Friday 105-96, notching their fourth in a row to put them at 8-4 and first place in the Northwest division. The Nuggs look to complete the sweep of the five-game homestand tonight at 5:00 p.m. MST against Portland.

On Friday, Nikola Jokic once again led the way with 22-19-10 line, his second triple-double of the season, which tied him with Larry Bird at No. 8 in the career triple-double rankings.

Bones Hyland made a splash yet again on Friday by setting or tying career highs with 15 points with 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The crowd favorite helped seal the win with two three-pointers in the fourth quarter.

Portland is without Damien Lillard tonight due to lower abdominal pain. Lillard had been heating up after a slow start. His backcourt mate C.J. McCollum is leading the Blazers in scoring at 20.7 and Center Jusuf Nurkic is averaging 11.5 ppg and 11.3 rpg.

Portland sits at third in the Northwest division with a 6-7 record and only 1-6 on the road. It scored that first road win on Friday against Houston, 104-92.

Last season, the Nuggets ousted Portland 4-2 in the first round of the 2021 playoffs and had a 6-3 overall record against the Blazers.

Nugget to Watch: Will Barton. How will Barton bounce back? He followed a season-high 30 point performance with a 5 point outing on 2-11 FG shooting against the Atlanta Hawks.
