NBA Western Conference Futures Odds

With the two strongest teams in the league according to the sportsbooks and the standings playing in the Eastern Conference, an interesting futures bet on the Nuggets is on their Western Conference champion odds. The Durant-led Suns are on top with +230 odds, but the Nuggets are not far behind at all with +300 odds.

While the Bucks and Celtics seem to be the consensus top two teams in the league, they play in the more front-loaded East, while the Nuggets play in the much deeper West, which only got tougher with the arrivals of Kyrie Irving in Dallas and Durant in Phoenix. The West has been no problem for the Big Cevapi and the Nuggets, however, as they have put up a league-best 29-12 mark against Western Conference teams so far this season.

Ivica Zubac and Kevon Looney, the big men for the Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors, can’t contain the Joker, but there is a theory that Phoenix big man DeAndre Ayton poses a major problem for Jokic. The numbers tell a different story. Apart from that sweep the Nuggets suffered at the Suns’ hands in the 2021 playoffs, the Nuggets have won seven of the 10 games in which the seven-footers have gone toe-to-toe. Not to mention that across all 14 meetings with Ayton including playoffs, Jokic has averaged 26.9 points, 11.9 rebounds, 7.2 dimes, and 2.4 stocks per game. Knowing that, those +300 odds for Denver to make the NBA Finals don’t sound bad at all.
